*Warning. Contains Spoilers-
The Decent (2005)- The basic plot is that a year after a women's husband and daughter are killed, she goes on a caving expedition with some friends. Of course they end up trapped in a cave, and are trying to find their way out. After some near death encounters, they soon discover they are not alone. Trapped with them are some creepy Gollum like creatures who obviously are trying to kill/eat them all. At the end there are two who survive. Oh wait! Actually the woman whose family died, stabs the other one in the leg as revenge for sleeping with her husband and leaves her there to be eaten. So there is only one lest who survives, but will forever be haunted and will definitely need some sort of therapy.
Sanctum (2011)- Basically a bunch of underwater cave divers ,including a father and son with abandonment issues, go and explore one of the largest and least accessible caves on Earth (of course!). There is then a tropical storm which leads to the caves being filled with water. After their exit to the cave is cut of by a flash flood they must find another way out before they all drown. However along the way they panic, slip, drown and kill each other for a chance to survive, Again, there is only one survivor who is the son who finally fixed his relationship with his father to then end up losing him. So again, he will probably have some issues to deal with.
So which would you say is worse? Being trapped in a cave, being chased my ugly creatures who want to eat you? Or being stuck in a cave, where you have to escape before you drown? Because I thought the cave creatures were worse but at least you can kill them. You cant really stop the water.
Please let me know which you think it worse. And remember, don't go into a cave without being fully prepared for drowning and make sure to take your cave monster killing kit with you!
